Getting ready for our annual New Year party. Everyone welcome you dont have to be a member of the Group but we insist you bring a smile.
Its a great event starting at 2.30pm on the afternoon where you will have free use of the leisure facilities.
Dress is smart casual with a good selection of middle of the road music for the disco.
We use round tables none of these oblong tables where you cant mix with other people.
96 places have gone so still room.

A thousand pounds worth of raffle prizes which include a £375 Mig Welder and a ladies mountain bike and a gents mountain bike.

The raffle and auction raised an amazing twelve hundred and thirty six pounds.


Congratulations to Linda Carling who won the free draw for the two kilogram Easter Egg donated by Chocolinis.


Redcar and Cleveland Council are working very hard to bring a variety of interesting projects to The Kirkleatham Museum. Their latest venture is an ‘Out of this World’ experience. Creatures, costumes and props from all your favourite sc-ifi movies.  Bring the kids they will love it.

Ben and Catherine who for a number of years ran Lillies Cafe at Kirkleatham Hall Redcar and for the last few years have allowed our Group to hold our ‘Tuesday Night Meets’. Ben and Catherine have now moved on to pastures new. Our new hosts are, Phil, Clare and Paul. We wish Ben and Catherine all the best for the future and they will be sorely missed. To Phil, Clare and Paul welcome to the team and let the good times role.

There will be no Tuesday night meet on 10th September 2013 but normal service will be resumed on Tuesday 17th September 2013.

I know its a long way off but Saturday 5th April 2014 will be the Boundary Easter Party. Dawn the manger at Blackwell Grange has offered us all the normal facilities that we enjoy at our New Year Parties and kept the price to £46 per head. The reason for this Easter Party is hopefully to celebrate raising half a million pounds for our two charities since June 2006. We were going to call the party a name to mark the occasion but thought it prudent to make sure we reach the target before shouting about it.

You will need to get your names down asap, its only a £10 deposit each and that will secure your room.

Remember in April the Hotel are busy with a number of functions and we need to make sure we get all the bedrooms we need before they go to other events.

Just to recap what you get:

The event will be held at Blackwell Grange Hotel, at Darlington, Co Durham. The web details for the hotel are at, The Hotel organisation have agreed to an excellent rate as a thank you for your efforts involved with the Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group.

The details of the package are;

1.   The bar will be open from 2.30pm – 1am, where mainline drink prices will be subsidised. There will also be snacks like sandwiches and chips also at a reduced rate.
2.   You will have free use of the swimming pool and leisure facilities.
3.   Your accommodation and breakfast are included.
4.   Bottles of wine will be available at a reduced rate from normal hotel prices.
5.   The evening meal will start about 8pm and will consist of a hot/cold buffet, followed by a sweet,  and coffee.
6.   There will be balloons and a superb raffle.
7.   The will be a disco following the meal which will go onto to 1am. For those wanting a quieter time there are ample places at the hotel if the disco is not your thing.
8.   In the morning there will be coffee available should you have to wait for a place in the restaurant.
9.   A Sunday morning paper will be available.
10.   The all in cost is £46 each.

In order to book your place(s) you need to phone the hotel on 01325 509955 between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday and ask to speak to the Meetings and Events Team and mention The Boundary 500 Motorcycle Group. You will need to pay a deposit and the remainder  by March 2014. There will be a supplement  for single use of a room. (single supplements are not cheap and will cost in the region of £61 for one person. Simple take a friend to make it cheaper) Room upgrades are available.

In order to have the use of the ‘Round Table’ seating plan we have to restrict the numbers to 160.

Everyone will have seen a variety of ‘Think Bike’ stickers which are used to raise the awareness regarding motorcycles being used on the roads. As usual we as a Group have created our own design to publicise this well worth Road Safety initiative and also at the same time promote ourselves.

Stickers are available in the following colours;

Pink, Yellow, Green, Red and Silver. They are priced at 50 pence each and can be obtained from Lillies Cafe at Kirkleatham on a Tuesday night.




Again the Boundary New Year Party was a huge success with record numbers in attendance. The Hotel staff as usual were very friendly and professional and helped make a great night brilliant. The raffle raised in excess of eleven hundred pounds and a big thanks to Gill, Ann, Ian, Carole, Pam and Karen for sorting that out. Also a big thanks to Dave Ransome who donated a signed poster of Victoria Pendleton winning a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics  It raised a hundred pounds at auction.

As usual; Piper Bob and his ‘gang’ piped everyone to dinner.

Our DJ Paul did a great job and the manager Richard ensured everything went smoothly. Next years date has been set as Saturday 11th January 2014 and the hotel are already taking bookings. The total cost in 2014 will be £46 per person a £1 rise on this years price. Thanks to Dawn the General Manager for supporting our endeavours. There has been a £1 increase on the 2013 prices. The 2014 prices for both the 999 Night New Year Party on Saturday 4th January 2014 and the Boundary New Year party on Saturday 11th January 2014 will be;

The date for the 2014 999 Night New Year Party has now been confirmed as Saturday 4th January 2014. Prices are still to be confirmed but the worse case scenario is a £2 increase.
