As everyone knows, as a Group we work extremely hard in arranging events to raise money for our two nominated charities and hopefully at the end of this year we with your help achieve the half million bound barrier.

To achieve this milestone there needs to be an extra incentive but also a mark of appreciation.

This is what is going to happen.

Every person who enters an event and raises a minimum of £40 will have their name put into a free draw.

The more events you enter as long as you individually raise a minimum of £40 for that event again your name goes into the draw.

So what will you get.

1. Seven nights self catering accommodation for four people at,

http://www.gites-de-kerlun.com

which is located in the Brittany region of France,

http://www.gites-de-kerlun.com/home/find-us

2. On arrival you will get a welcome meal.

3. On arrival the winner on production of his/her passport to Michele or Roger

will receive in cash a minimum of four hundred pounds.

4. Brittany Ferries will be providing a voucher for four people to use their crossing. We are still in negotiation as to which crossing and the mode of transport but we have a voucher on the table at the present time for four people and a vehicle. As soon as details are known they will be circulated.

5. The Holiday to be taken in April or May 2014.

I think you will agree that this prize which is valued in excess of £1000 is a cracker.

There will be some conditions.

As already stated free entry for every event where you raise in excess of £40.

The prize is not transferable and if you can’t, go it goes back into the hat to be redrawn.

The draw will take place on Saturday 19th October at the Group’s Annual Presentation Evening.

You have to stay at the Gite to receive your cash prize.

In keeping with the Boundary Groups rules and regulations in relation to fairness and propriety the Group founder, the Group Secretary and the Group Chairman are not eligible to enter the draw.

We will be having a poster made up and advertising this locally and nationally but before we do it was thought that our regular members should have the ‘heads up’

So everyone get your entry forms in for the events and get collecting.

I will complete a full list of conditions but the above are the main ones. The others will include you are responsible for your own insurance etc. etc.

Here is one scenario.

A rider enters one of the events like the TT Challenge.

He/she then enters, the Challenge, Classic, the Lakes Classic and the Marathon.

As long as they collect a minimum of £40 for each event that person’s name goes into the hat five times.

If they have a pillion who also raise the required amount their name goes into the draw as well.

Can you see how by arranging your sponsorship there will be more chances.

Theses chances will increase again if four of you team up. I will leave you with the permutations.

Cracking prezzie or what.

All event forms can be downloaded from the web site at,

http://www.boundary500.co.uk/entry-forms/

I know its a long way off but Saturday 5th April 2014 will be the Boundary Easter Party. Dawn the manger at Blackwell Grange has offered us all the normal facilities that we enjoy at our New Year Parties and kept the price to £46 per head. The reason for this Easter Party is hopefully to celebrate raising half a million pounds for our two charities since June 2006. We were going to call the party a name to mark the occasion but thought it prudent to make sure we reach the target before shouting about it.

You will need to get your names down asap, its only a £10 deposit each and that will secure your room.

Remember in April the Hotel are busy with a number of functions and we need to make sure we get all the bedrooms we need before they go to other events.

£46.00 per person, sharing a double or twin standard room

£56.00 per person, sharing a double or twin executive room

£61.00 per person, single occupancy Standard Room

£81.00 per person, single occupancy Executive room

Just to recap what you get:

10.   The all in cost is £46 each.

Michele and Roger Oxford (Motorcyclists) own Gites-de-kerlun which is located  https://sites.google.com/site/gitesdekerlun/home/find-us   in St.Aignan, Brittany, France. The Gite web site is at, ( http://www.gites-de-kerlun.com )

At the Heart of Central Brittany on the edge of the 8,000 acre Forest De Quenecan,  which is stunning throughout the seasons, and only a 5 minute drive to Lake Guerledan with a sandy beach and restaurant, We have an enviable location in this stunning area.

14Fishing, Rambling, biking, water sports and horse riding can all be done practically on your doorstep, we are based in the country with no immediate neighbours and yet only 5 minutes to the lovely Flower village of St.Aignan, where you can buy your fresh baguettes, have a drink in the bar and a super  meal in the creperie.

The river Blavet and the Nantes-Brest canal run through the village and can be walked or cycled for miles. A good stop point is Pontivy for a drink in a café bar, or if you prefer a shorter distance head in the opposite direction, 10 minutes from Kerlun to Abbaye Bon Repos. The abbey is in a lovely setting and has lovely walks and a fairytale bar. There are great motorcycling roads around us and we can give you some great idea charts to do your own thing or take you on lead rides.

We have 4 acres of our own with various fruit trees, in season you can pick your own apples, chestnuts and walnuts! We have  lots  of wildlife in the area too; fox, hare, red squirrels, deer, wild boar, though you’d be very lucky to see one of these as they are very shy, salamanders, bats, owls and woodpeckers are all here, plus much more!!  cycling canal

5Brittany was made for biking, there are some superb roads whether you’re looking for a blast out or a cruise around taking in the sites and sounds, and with so little traffic in comparison to the uk it’s a pleasure!

8

We are bikers ourselves and are always happy for a ride out. We are also members of local motorcycling clubs who will welcome you with them on their group ride out days, or if you prefer we can recommend places for you to visit and roads to ride.

It has a very large kitchen / Dining area with a 3 and 2 seater setee as well as the dining table for 8.  There is also a separate Lounge

There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 bunk bed rooms: each bunk room is accessed through a double room.

The bathroom and toilet are upstairs and the bath is wonderfully deep !!

The kitchen has a hob, microwave, fridge freezer, oven and a washing machine as well as coffee maker etc.

Gite Pomme has a double bedroom and a bedroom with Bunk beds and single bed also a very small kiddies bedroom, good size kitchen dining room plenty big enough for 6 people. It is a very light gite and the kitchen comprises of hob, oven, microwave and fridge freezer as well as coffee maker, toaster etc. There is a lounge with a 3 piece suite.

The shower room and toilet are both on the ground floor, making it an ideal gite for people who find stairs difficult.
